The document describes how StarWind Virtual SAN does scale out and takes benefit of data locality to secure maximum performance for every VM stored on Virtual SAN storage. It shows the benefits that allow the user to scale his deployment by adding nodes, without any downtime or performance impact. While most solutions require a full production stop to scale, StarWind Virtual SAN allows the user to perform even a forklift upgrade without compromising uptime.
