Ross Mistry, Microsoft SQL MVP
Ross Mistry is a principal consultant at Convergent Computing, a best-selling author and a SQL Server MVP. He focuses on implementing SQL Server, Active Directory and Exchange solutions for Fortune 500 organizations in the Silicon Valley. His SQL Server specialties include high availability, security, migrations and virtualization. Ross’ recent books include “SQL Server 2008 Management and Administration” (Sams) and “Windows Server 2008 Unleashed” (Sams). He is currently working on his latest title Windows Server 2008 R2 Unleashed, which is scheduled to be released during the 3rd quarter of 2009. Russ Kaufmann, Microsoft MVP
Russ Kaufmann (MVP, MCT, MCITPx4, MCTSx6, MCSE, CTT+) has been working for over 18 years in the IT industry as a consultant, speaker, certified trainer, technical editor, and author. Russ is highly respected for his expertise in High Availability and Microsoft server products. Microsoft has awarded Russ with the title of Most Valuable Professional (MVP) from 2005 through 2009, for his contributions in the Windows Clustering community. He is a frequent speaker at key conferences such as Microsoft TechEd, where he recently presented on Windows Server 2008 High Availability. Russ has also co-authored several books on Microsoft server products and has worked with Microsoft on many projects. The IT bug bit him while pursuing a Doctorate in Finance where he received a Presidential Fellowship. Since then, Russ has owned three successful companies, consulted with at least 100 companies on implementing IT projects, and has trained thousands of students in the IT industry.
Denny Cherry, Microsoft MVP in SQL Server
Denny Cherry has over a decade of experience managing SQL Server, including MySpace.com’s 175+ million user installation, one of the largest in the world. Denny’s areas of technical expertise includes system architecture, performance tuning, replication and troubleshooting. Denny uses these skills on a regular basis in his current role as a Sr. Database Administrator and Architect at Awareness Technologies. Denny currently holds several Microsoft Certifications related to SQL Server as well as being a Microsoft MVP. Denny is a longtime member of PASS and Quest Software’s Association of SQL Server Experts and has written numerous technical articles on SQL Server management.
