Leadership
Zorian Rotenberg, President & CEO
Zorian Rotenberg joined StarWind in December 2008. Before joining StarWind, Zorian held an executive management position as Vice President at Acronis Inc., a provider of storage management and disaster recovery software, where he had overall responsibility for business development and strategy. He launched the business development group and led global alliances and strategic partnerships with companies such as EMC, HP, Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and VMware. Zorian worked directly for the CEO of Acronis when the company grew rapidly over a period of a three years from less than $20 million to over $100 million worldwide. Previously, Zorian worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. in the Investment Banking Division focusing on mergers & acquisitions and financing transactions, at NeoCarta Ventures focusing on investing in technology companies and at IBM in the software sales division. Zorian graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Finance and with minors in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Anton Kolomyeytsev, CTO and Chief Architect
Anton Kolomyeytsev is a successful entrepreneur and a chief architect at StarWind. Anton originally was a Windows Kernel Engineer and a Chief Kernel Architect who created the iSCSI storage and SAN software products starting in 2003 and has been responsible for driving the technical vision of StarWind Software. Previously, he has held software development and engineer positions at Paragon Software, a storage software company and various other software outsourcing companies in Europe and in the U.S. Anton has a degree in Engineering and Computer Science.
Art Berman, CIO and Executive Director of European Operations
Art Berman is a successful serial entrepreneur who has founded a number of companies in the technology industry. Mr. Berman brings more than a decade of entrepreneurial experience building and advising successful software companies. He has created the business strategy behind StarWind iSCSI SAN solution and managed worldwide online sales and operations since 2003. Mr. Berman earned his Masters degree in Economics from Moscow International Businesss Institute in 1997.
Michael Walsh - Director, US Sales
Michael is an action-oriented leader with experience building inside sales teams, attracting and maintaining new customers and partners while consistently exceeding revenue targets. Michael joined StarWind Software after helping Acronis Inc. grow and expand sales in the US. Prior to that, he held various sales roles at Quest Software and startup Imceda Software. Mike has a B.S. in Financial Management from Salve Regina University.
Roman Shovkun - Director, EMEA Sales
Roman Shovkun is responsible for building and managing sales and channels in EMEA and APAC regions as well as driving revenue growth and continuously increasing customer satisfaction for StarWind. Prior to StarWind , Roman was a sales executive for several high growth companies in Europe in the software outsourcing and high-tech markets. He was instrumental in growing sales and market share and brings his experience in building high-performance sales teams to StarWind. In addition to his sales management background, Roman was a professional skier who was a member of the Ukraine Olympic ski team. Roman has a Masters degree and a major in Business Management from Sumy State University and a Post-Graduate Studies Doctoral degree in Philosophy.
Bob Boule - Worldwide Customer Support
Bob Boule has over 15 years of experience in high tech customer and technical support industry and he is widely recognized for his contributions to the building of robust and responsive support organizations. Bob has helped to develop new solutions for storage market, SQL Server market, the ETL/Data Transformation, and end user monitoring markets. During his career, Bob has led both product development organizations and support organizations for a number of startup software companies through their development and growth stages. Bob holds a degree in Computer Information Systems from The University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Ratmir Timashev
Ratmir Timashev is a partner at ABRT Venture Fund, an international venture capital and private equity fund focused on startup and expansion stage investments as well as buyouts of high-growth software, internet and technology-enabled companies. Mr.Timashev also serves as President and CEO of Veeam Software and possesses a rare combination of business leadership, technical expertise and market vision. As a Board Director at StarWind Software, Mr. Timashev brings more than a decade of entrepreneurial experience building, advising and investing in highly successful technology companies.
In 1997, he founded Aelita Software, a leading provider of award-winning Windows Server systems management solutions. In 2004, Aelita was acquired by Quest Software, and after ensuring the successful continuation of Aelita’s products and strategy at Quest, Ratmir and his longtime business partner, Andrei Baronov, created ABRT Venture Fund. ABRT partnered with OpenView Venture Partners of Boston and Mangrove Capital Partners of Luxemburg to create an investment program that was designed to identify and invest in top information technology companies in Eastern and Central Europe.
Mr. Timashev earned his Master's degree from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1990 and also Master's degree in Chemical Physics from the Ohio State University in 1995. Mr. Timashev also serves on the boards of directors of Quintura, Inc., and InvisibleCRM.
