The Best Hyperconverged Appliance
for Enterprise ROBO, SMB & Edge

Who’s Mr. StarWind HCI Appliance?
StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA) is a modern data center building block. StarWind converges compute, storage, networking, virtualization software, and management into a single hyperconverged platform. It replaces tangled and expensive legacy data center infrastructure consisting of servers, segregated compute and storage networks, and network storage.
StarWind eliminates common obstacles of the legacy infrastructure: high acquisition and maintenance costs, complicated management, and poor power efficiency.
What’s the word? What’s fresh?
- All models now fully support Proxmox VE: More bang for your buck.
- Unbeatable redundancy and unparalleled data integrity with ZFS option: Top-tier protection against bit rot and silent data corruption, crucial for remote sites with limited maintenance.
- Best-in-class NVMe-oF (TCP & RDMA) highly-available storage stack: Сlose to 100% uptime and over 1 million IOPS in a compact and cost-effective 1U form factor.
Pillars
Built to Last Longer
StarWind HCI Appliance is engineered for maximum longevity, consistently delivering peak performance over an extended period of time, allowing to avoid hardware upgrades for up to 7 years. It dramatically boosts IT efficiency by eliminating the need for additional SAN or NAS solutions and offers enterprise-level features at budget-friendly prices. HCI Appliance starts with just 2 nodes (cluster witness is optional), making it a cost-effective choice for Enterprise ROBO and small-business IT infrastructures.
Extremely Easy to Use
We come fully pre-configured, ensuring a quick and easy setup. StarWind HCI Appliance features an intuitive web-based user interface for centralized infrastructure monitoring and management, making system operation hassle-free and saving the valuable time for the customer’s IT team.
Proactively Monitored & Maintained
AI-powered sophisticated telemetry and a “call home” system provide 24/7 HCI infrastructure monitoring, preventing issues in the early stages instead of just responding when problems arise. This proactive approach significantly improves the customer experience, making their IT journey a breeze.
Features
Flexible Virtualization
Choose from various virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM-based Proxmox VE. This versatility is ideal for large multi-site ROBO deployments as well as budget-conscious SMB environments.
High Availability
Synchronous data replication, highly redundant components and transparent failover allow StarWind HCI Appliance to withstand multiple cluster node and individual flash device failures with zero RPO and zero RTO, making it a top choice for mission-critical environments with strict SLAs.
Pro-Active Premium Support combined with Automated Self-Healing
AI-powered telemetry and ‘call home’ systems, combined with ZFS data integrity checks, self-healing, and multiple component redundancy, provide maximum reliability without customer intervention.
“Screaming” Performance
StarWind’s efficient software architecture, all-NVMe storage backend, and ultra-fast NVMe-oF (TCP and RDMA) interconnect protocol unleash full hardware potential. Minimal overhead means more performance, less hardware to buy, and less hardware to maintain. This cost efficiency is crucial for SMBs on a budget and is exponentially multiplied for multi-site deployments, where every dollar counts.
Multi-Cluster Monitoring & Management
Multi-site ROBO deployments and Edge environments are handled with ease via centralized monitoring and management. Keep an eye on your distributed infrastructure without the hassle of juggling multiple UI panes and consoles.
Models
Each StarWind HCI Appliance includes a cost-effective minimum of two cluster nodes, making it especially relevant for Enterprise ROBO and SMB customers. StarWind clusters can be easily scaled if needed. Models are available in three distinct lines, each tailored to meet specific requirements: compute and storage performance, capacity, and budget.
Value Flash (V-Spec)
Ideal for both Enterprise ROBO and small-scale SMB deployments with low VM count and low IOPS. A well-balanced mix of needed performance and maximum cost-efficiency.
Capacity Flash (C-Spec)
With increased storage capacity and flexible CPU options, this model line offers an ideal balance of capacity and performance for environments with higher VM density, demanding greater storage capacity and IOPS. We think about SMB here.
Performance Flash (P-Spec)
Unrivaled performance without compromises. This model line delivers maximum performance and utilizes long-lasting flash to handle data-intensive applications and services effortlessly. It’s the top choice for enterprises and SMBs ‘on steroids.’
