CHALLENGE

Before deploying StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), St Hilda’s College faced a daunting IT infrastructure challenge with its existing system comprising Huawei and HP hardware, coupled with VMware as the hypervisor. The old infrastructure was bespoke, complex, and no longer supported by vendors. This rendered routine maintenance and troubleshooting a daunting task, hindering the seamless operation of the academic institution.

In search of a remedy, the IT team explored various solutions and ultimately opted for StarWind HCI Appliance.

SOLUTION

With StarWind HCI Appliance, St Hilda’s College moved to hyperconvergence and swiftly resolved the challenges posed by the aging infrastructure. The new solution offered ProActive Premium Support and comprehensive documentation, transforming the IT landscape at St Hilda’s College. The transition was smooth, eliminating the complications of the previous setup.

The resulting infrastructure powered by StarWind HCI Appliance works seamlessly, meeting all requirements without drawing attention to itself. The institution is exploring opportunities for growth and anticipates seamless integration with StarWind for any upcoming expansions or enhancements to its IT infrastructure.
