We saved money as we were to buy additional servers to fulfill the project requirements, but with StarWind, everything is solved.

PROBLEM

Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, the SSTL Group had an IT infrastructure located in several government buildings. The company used the Windows Hyper-V hypervisor and sought to create a failover cluster. To ensure continued high availability of applications and the fault tolerance of its IT infrastructure, SSTL Group was considering the purchase of additional equipment. But the high price of the servers and the unprofitability of such a solution stimulated the search for alternative options.

SOLUTION

SSTL Group has chosen StarWind VSAN on the advice of Bosch and has not regretted its choice at all. Being completely hardware-agnostic and not requiring any additional equipment to be installed, StarWind VSAN allowed the company to meet failover capabilities. Mirroring internal hard disks and flash between hypervisor servers, StarWind VSAN enabled to create a failover cluster, thereby minimizing downtime and achieving the high availability of applications and services. This being said, SSTL Group did not have to spend a great deal of money because StarWind VSAN provides a reasonable ratio of price and functionality.
