CHALLENGE

Before deploying StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), SCALINX relied on a single Proxmox host with local storage. The absence of shared storage was a critical issue, as it hindered high availability (HA) and scalability, essential for a growing business. Additionally, its existing setup lacked the flexibility to easily transition to a more redundant solution.

SCALINX needed a cost-effective alternative to VMware vSAN that would seamlessly fit into its new infrastructure plan after switching to the ESXi hypervisor. Without shared storage, the risk of downtime and data loss increased, pushing SCALINX to look for a reliable storage solution.
