Olin Corporation ensured highly available (HA) and fault-tolerant (FT) clustered virtual environment with StarWind

The resulting infrastructure is currently satisfying our plans because we were able to implement a reliable StarWind solution within our infrastructure.

Before StarWind Virtual SAN deployment, Olin Corporation had a non-clustered virtual environment with two virtual machines. Such IT infrastructure did not provide for high availability and fault tolerance. The lack of virtual machine clustering put the physical machine at risk of hardware and software failure. As a result, there was no possibility of disaster recovery and the preservation of company data.

Olin Corporation has chosen StarWind VSAN because it could be easily deployed on the existing company’s hardware. VSAN provided clustered virtual environment by presenting two VMs as nodes. Through clustering, high availability of servers and the network was ensured. In addition, StarWind VSAN makes it possible to achieve dynamic backup processes and provides fault tolerance with zero downtime on VMs. Providing a highly available and fault-tolerant IT environment with StarWind VSAN, the company plans to implement this solution in its 39 plants.
