PROBLEM
Prior to using StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), MBR was running Dell EqualLogic SAN and VMware vSphere Hypervisor. The existing SAN was out-of-date and didn’t allow the company to upgrade its IT infrastructure to Windows Server 2019. In order to do a technology refresh and unleash all the IT infrastructure potential, MBR was looking for a shared storage solution reasonably priced. MBR’s choice fell on StarWind VSAN as it was the only solution on the virtualization market affording ground for upgrading the company’s IT infrastructure to Windows Server 2019 and replacing the end-of-life SAN at no extra cost. StarWind provided the option to upgrade some of the network adapters to 10GB instead of using bonded 1GB connectors and create a highly available Hyper-V environment.
