CHALLENGE

Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, the client company of Logos Data Services had an infrastructure with a combination of Dell EqualLogic SAN devices and Dell PowerEdge Servers with VMware ESXi on top. The main problems were related to outdated hardware/software resources and a lack of support and service warranties. The client company was grappling with the limitations of this outdated setup, leading to performance issues and increased operational costs.

The decision to choose StarWind over other storage solutions was based on its proven track record and reliability.

We have used StarWind in-house at our Data Center for 5-10 years. Our resulting infrastructure has performed great.

SOLUTION

With StarWind VSAN in place, Logos Data Services replaced and consolidated the old client’s SANs and VMware ESXi servers, transitioning to a hyperconverged infrastructure with just two servers. This not only streamlined the environment but also provided enhanced performance at a lower cost. StarWind Automated Storage Tiering was leveraged, contributing to optimal performance.

The client company now experiences improved operational efficiency and cost savings, thanks to the consolidation of resources.
