With StarWind, every upgrade has been done in place seamlessly, and provides new features and simpler administration…exactly what our business needs! StarWind far exceeds our expectations and requirements.

Before StarWind Virtual SAN deployment, LIA had a mixed Windows/Unix environment with dedicated servers and clusters of servers for each business application with Hyper-V on top. Suchinfrastructure  provided for multitude of hardware items, expensive support contracts, as well as additional expenses for space, cooling, and UPS power supplies with very little data redundancy. The situation was aggravated by an inefficient and expensive disaster recovery plan. What do we have in the end? A single synonymic series to describe the IT-infrastructure: time-consuming, inefficient, costly, problematic, and complicated. For companies like LIA that work with a huge volume of sensitive customer data, ensuring high data availability is critical. Any failures and downtime in such complex IT infrastructures entail not only data loss but also reputational risks.

LIA has chosen StarWind VSAN because it could provide the required data redundancy and reduce hardware without breaking the company’s budget. Being hardware agnostic, StarWind VSAN allowed the company to build a fault-tolerant storage architecture using SSD’s and off the shelf chassis. What kind of infrastructure did we get using StarWind? Here is the answer: high-performing, high-functional, fault-tolerant, highly available, reliable, and easy to use. StarWind VSAN is a unique opportunity for the active use of new technologies and the consolidation of data infrastructure without making huge investments. It provides simplicity of product upgrades, and the administration system becomes as easy as one-two-three. All that is needed for ensuring your business continuity is StarWind VSAN.
