Published: May 16, 2018

So far, everything has been solid.

GP&L runs part of its production on Dell PowerEdge FX2 modular chassis comprised of two blades and two storage sleds. The company was looking for shared storage allowing both blades to access storage sleds simultaneously.

StarWind Virtual SAN was chosen for positive reputation and customers’ experience. Furthermore, the solution can deliver shared storage both in hyperconverged and storage and compute separated scenarios.
Replicating the data between storage sleds, the solution enables to build a virtual storage pool, which, in its turn, provides both blades with the access to the storage. Also, thanks to StarWind Virtual SAN, GP&L IT department managed to create the replication network to the blades using just direct links.
