Frontier School Division improves continuity of educational services by deploying a hyperconverged IT infrastructure around StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA)
CHALLEGE
Before deploying StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), Frontier School Division relied on an old iSCSI SAN that was no longer supported. The Dell EqualLogic storage had reached end of life, and vendor support was no longer available. Its management interface depended on outdated Java applications, which made daily administration difficult and risky. The infrastructure was built on VMware, and the IT Team wanted to move to Hyper-V. Both compute and storage in the existing hardware were end of life, out of warranty, and in need of a refresh.
The IT team wanted to move to a modern, hyperconverged model, but many alternatives were complex and costly. They needed a solution that would modernize storage, improve performance, and stay within budget.
StarWind sold us a product that greatly increased our performance at a very reasonable cost, with excellent proactive monitoring and support.

StarWind delivered this at a very competitive upfront cost compared to other HCI solutions. Proactive monitoring and responsive support ensured issues were addressed before they impacted users.
The new infrastructure is fast, stable, and easy to manage. Overall, StarWind delivered strong value, modern support, and a reliable foundation for the future.
