Dijkstra Vereenigde reduces its operating expenses (OpEX) by creating a hyperconverged infrastructure around StarWind vSAN
CHALLENGE
Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, Dijkstra Vereenigde was operating on a traditional SAN-based infrastructure comprising an HPE MSA P2000 storage system, disk enclosures, two physical hosts, and two switches. The setup ran on Microsoft Hyper-V and had reached the end of its lifecycle, with aging hardware and outdated technology creating significant performance and reliability concerns. Replacing the SAN components one by one was neither cost-effective nor sustainable in the long term. The company needed a modern, high-performance solution that could be implemented quickly without overhauling its entire IT environment.
StarWind makes the HCI possible fast and easy. It is satisfactory on all levels and works stably and fast. Keep up the good work!

SOLUTION
Dijkstra Vereenigde chose StarWind VSAN for its simplicity, robust performance, and excellent support. StarWind enabled the company to move to a hyperconverged infrastructure quickly and seamlessly, eliminating the need for separate SAN hardware. The new setup significantly reduced hardware footprint while boosting overall performance and reliability.
Running on Hyper-V, the StarWind-powered infrastructure has proven to be fast, stable, and fully aligned with the company’s operational needs. Pleased with the results, Dijkstra Vereenigde is now planning to deploy a second StarWind-based site for another branch of the company.
