CHALLENGE
Before StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) deployment, CShaheen Tech s IT infrastructure relied on two independent hypervisors with VM replicas, managed by Hyper-V. Nightly VM replication was manually conducted, and failover was nonautomatic, leading to potential downtime and manual intervention in case of system failure. With limited shared storage functionality in Windows, setting up high availability (HA) was cumbersome, often necessitating redundant VM setups for reliability.

StarWind s implementation enabled the creation of a hyperconverged infrastructure and provided seamless failover and automated redundancy without the need for manual intervention. The hyperconverged setup improved system reliability and performance.
