PROBLEM
Before StarWind Virtual SAN (vSAN) deployment, the client company of Red Road Networks LLC had a single Hyper-V host with directattached storage (DAS). The primary goal was to improve uptime by reducing both planned and unplanned outages. Now for low maintenance, the client company of Red Road Networks LLC uses two Dell EMC PowerEdge T440 servers with 2 x dual 10GB NICs connected to DACs and everything goes smoothly. Thanks to StarWind vSAN, the company created a clustered redundant Microsoft Hyper-V environment. Red Road Networks LLC also plans to implement the same solution for other customers that have a need for near-zero downtime. Besides, by using the StarWind product, the company saves nearly $10K. Otherwise, Red Road Networks LLC would need to buy redundant SAN to create a similar shared storage system that would cost a fortune.
