CHALLENGE
Before deploying StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), Curious Productions relied on Dell servers connected to a SAN and used Microsoft Hyper-V as a hypervisor. However, its existing infrastructure was facing multiple challenges. The aging hardware struggled to accommodate the increased workload, and all hosts were maxed out, preventing them from operating as a fully functional failover cluster.
These issues hindered business operations and risked data loss in case of hardware failure.
SOLUTION
StarWind HCI Appliance provided Curious Productions with an active-active high availability cluster built on all-flash storage. This not only enhanced the infrastructure performance but also reduced the physical footprint. With increased resource capacity, the company could now run all virtual machines in a fault-tolerant environment.
StarWind Web UI enabled the company to monitor all events within its infrastructure. At the same time, StarWind telemetry data AI analytics and “call-home” systems ensured potential problems were identified and resolved before they could escalate into business-critical issues. The resulting infrastructure worked seamlessly out of the box.
