Tajco ensures uninterrupted 24/7 operation of its ERP and production systems by building a hyperconverged infrastructure around StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA)
CHALLENGE
Before deploying StarWind HCI Appliance (HCA), Tajco s IT environment relied on standalone Hyper-V servers connected to a Nexenta iSCSI storage array, an architecture that had reached the end of its lifecycle. The company needed additional compute and storage resources to support the deployment of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, including more CPU, memory, and disk capacity. At the same time, the existing infrastructure lacked high availability (HA), creating an unacceptable risk for production workloads that had to operate 24/7.
Expanding the legacy platform would not address these limitations efficiently, prompting Tajco to seek a hyperconverged solution that combined resiliency and a lower total cost of ownership.
If somebody is looking for an excellent software-defined storage solution that offers the potential for better TCO, efficiency, and scalability to address exponential-data-growth needs, then StarWind is my choice #1.

SOLUTION
Tajco selected StarWind HCI Appliance for its simplicity, flexibility, and seamless scale up and scale out capabilities. By deploying a three node Hyper-V failover cluster built on three StarWind HCI Appliances, the company achieved a fully redundant hyperconverged infrastructure using only 6U of rack space without requiring additional storage hardware. With assistance from StarWind engineers, the migration was completed without downtime.
The new platform delivers the HA, performance, and scalability required for the company s ERP and production systems while providing a reliable foundation for future expansion.
