Exakis Nelite ensures operational continuity for Azure based customer environments by creating highly available storage with StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN)
CHALLENGE
Before deploying StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), Exakis Nelite was increasingly delivering Azure-based solutions built around Microsoft technologies and using shared storage volumes for clustered workloads. As demand for Azure deployments grew, the company needed storage-based high availability to ensure that clustered services could continue operating in the event of a storage or host failure.
Exakis Nelite also wanted to validate the architecture internally before recommending it to customers.
StarWind VSAN covers the customer’s need in terms of storage-based cluster high availability in Azure.

SOLUTION
Exakis Nelite chose StarWind VSAN because the software had already proven reliable in its on-premises environments and could provide shared storage for clustered workloads in Azure. StarWind VSAN was deployed on Azure virtual machines to create a highly available storage layer for the cluster.
The solution met the company s requirement for storage-based high availability and gave its technical team a validated architecture it could subsequently recommend for customer Azure deployments.
