Hello Guys,

I have a problem with installing starwind on a hyper-v server 2012 r2. I cannot use my trial key -> "Error occurred while checking license key file".

The lic file is a trial key. On the other node I´ve installed with this lic file without any problems. I´ve also used a new lic and setup file.

How can I install the software or can debug

Greetings

If that is the trial, please request the new one from the sales guy by emailing to sales@starwind.com
If you are referring to the free license key, please download it again.

Are you sure that you are running the latest build?
on what step exactly are you getting the error?

I downloaded the version yesterday and I used the license key that came in my email. I would assume it is the latest build. I run through the first couple of screens and then I select the I have a key and browse to that location and when I select it, the "error occurred while checking license key file. At that point, I cannot continue.

Question I want to use the tape redirector what selections should be made on the select components screen?

Thanks.

Gentlemen,
Could you please send us the zipped license keys you used to support@starwind.com
Please also add the build number you tried to install, you can find it on the first page of the installer wizard.
Thank you!

Thanks for update. We'll make sure message in the box is clear about key and used version mismatch.
