Hello,

all my vSphere VMs running on Starwind's LUN have stopped because Starwind server ran out of disk space. I really don't know why. I created 180 GB LUN (thin, lsfs with deduplication and auto-defrag) on 200 GB physical disk. Total disk usage by VMs was about 80 GB only.

Did I something wrong with LUN configuration or is it bug? I'm using Starwind v8, build 6838.

Thank you for explanation.

Hello,

same error happened today - 3,5TB physical disk shown out of disk space error on my 2-node Starwind cluster, version 7145, running on Windows 2012 R2, fully patched.

I prepared new one LSFS disk at Friday, no data copied into, no load here and there was 3,5TB of "something" at Monday :? There are a lot of *.SPSPX files here.

What's wrong? I'm going to send logs via e-mail to your support.

Thanks.

Known issue with 6884/7145 regarding Thin/LSFS provisioning. I was advised to not thin provision, due to build up of SPSPX files. At least until they release a fix; hopefully this week.

No way to convert from thin to thick, so only way to fix is to rebuild as thick and lose your LSFS/Deduplication benefits.

Can we get an update as to ETA for a fix for this problem?
