I built some clustered storage in the lab yesterday evening around 8pm UK time. It estimated about ten hours to synchronise (lab = slow). I've just checked now and it's a) still synchronising and b) is fibbing about elapsed time - see sshot-9.png. Elapsed time is more like 15 hours so far.

Not worried about estimated time - I know they are taken with a pinch of salt.

Cheers, Rob.

It's estimation only. With a slow storage timing may "jump". Do you have any performance metrics for underlying storage to share?

Elapsed time is an estimate??? Are you sure you mean that :) Surely you know a) when the initial sync started and b) the current time...

Yes I accept that remaining time is an estimate but I wasn't talking about that figure. Details of my storage don't matter. I'm not saying there is a problem with the time taken to sync but simply the math on elapsed time. My lab storage is slow, slow, slow.

Cheers, Rob.

We'll re-check that. Thanks!

Do you have any update on this?

I just did a full synchronization in my lab using the latest beta build (20150216 dated); and the elapsed time seemed OK to me. Estimated even matched what I estimated after 2% and doing the math on current elapsed time.

Thanks for sharing that.
