I don't think this is a Starwind problem but I'd thought I'd ask it here first.

I have my two iSCSI datastores running Starwind in HA mode. Each datastore has a dual 10gig nic in it. Each NIC port has it's own IP. So I have 4 paths to each HA target. I have, on purpose, set my VMware hosts to a fixed i/o path for each target. I have hard coded a preferred path for each HA target. If the primary datastore fails the VMware hosts failover to one of the two IPs on the secondary datastore just fine. My problem is, once the primary datastore comes back online, resyncs, and the HA targets become available again, the VMware hosts never fails back to the preferred path which was suppose to point to the primary datastore. Should they not fail back to the preferred path? Is there some setting I'm missing?

Thanks,

It seems like you are using not Fixed Path NLB policy, but Most Recently Used. Try to switch to FP.
