Re: Unable to delete files of a removed device

Hi IronWolf! Since last time you've reproduced this issue we have fixed multiple issues leading to the device lock-up. So the version we currently have on the website may just fix all the issues you had. Is there any chance you could install the most recent version and then try to reproduce the issue?

Re: Write issues on v8 (currently 7774)

Hi Trevbot!
Glad to hear the new tests showed better performance.
As for the variable, did you use any cache for the SSDs on the LSI level?
Our R&D has some ideas regarding the performance differences between v6 and v8 you got.
We'll be able to verify them in ~ 3 days.

Re: Installation error (when applying license)

Hello Matt,
Could you please let me know what is the extension of the license key you have?
Is it *.swk or *.swk- ?

Re: Write issues on v8 (currently 7774)

Hi Trevbot, Thank you for your input, we really appreciate it. That's definitely not the behavior we expect to see in an all-SSD environment. Is there any chance our engineers could get remote access to the systems to dob the performance tuning and benchmarking? Feel free to PM me or drop an e-mail ...

Re: BUG: Incredibly high latency on HA luns in version 7509

Gentlemen, I'm really sorry to hear you're facing these issues. We already addressed part of them in the build released yesterday, and we'll do 1 more update in 1-2 weeks specifically addressing caching improvements. The storage performance degradation issue mentioned above seems to disappear after ...

Re: 80GB LSFS eats 1TB disk space (disk full)

Hi!
I would recommend removing the device and recreating it using the latest version available on our website as of today.
Please let us know if the issue persists after the steps above.
Thank you!

Re: Problem with Virtual San 8 and HP Autoloader

Hi Michele,
Could you please tell me if there is any software using the tape drive on the StarWind server itself?
Also, What is the StarWind build number you're running?

Re: A New SPSPX File Generated every 12mins

Hi, This is not the expected behavior for the device. Just to double check, what is the build number you're running? Also, please let me know if you have enabled in-line deduplication for the device? BTW: I would recommend removing the device and recreating it using the latest version available on o...

Re: Recovery of damaged LSFS Device

Hi!
Do you have the original header file?
I think you should be able to mount the device after you modify the device file path in the header file.

Re: SSD L2 Cache or "pure" SSD LUN

Hi, It's SSD configured as L2 caching + StarWind LSFS (Thin provisioned log structured device)if your environment has less Reads and more Writes. And it's SSD configured as L2 caching + StarWind FLAD (image file) if you have more Reads and less writes. You can always save part of the SSD and provisi...

Hi!
What is the disk type you're trying to export?
Could you please send us the Device Instance Path of the disk, it can be found in the device properties->Details Tab->Device Instance path.

Re: Unable to delete files of a removed device

That would be really great since the most valuable information on the issue will be in that dump.
Please upload the dump and the logs once you reproduce the issue and I'll get it to our R&D immediately.

Re: Unable to delete files of a removed device

I think it is a different issue with similar symptoms.
Is there any chance we could get the diagnostic information from the system to identify what went wrong?
