Re: Storage Replica: Scale-Out File Server (2 nodes, no shar

It was a very basic example, just to get the facts right.

Re: Storage Replica: Scale-Out File Server (2 nodes, no shar

I only want to know if I have primary and secondary storage, with 24x1TB SATA SSD disks in the primary JBOD and 8x4TB SATA HDD disks in the secondary JBOD (the secondary JBOD has always more space), will the replication work in this kind of setup?

Re: Storage Replica: Scale-Out File Server (2 nodes, no shar

Were I can read how the replication works and what are the hardware requirements? Or should I write to sales?

Re: Storage Replica: Scale-Out File Server (2 nodes, no shar

How does Starwind Synchronous Replication work compared to Storage Replica?
Does it need the source disk and destionation disk to be exactly the same or is it possible to replicate from a SSD disk to a HDD disk (as long as the destionation disk is the same size or bigger)?

Re: Storage Replica: Scale-Out File Server (2 nodes, no shar

DFS doesn't work with Hyper-v, because DFS-R works only with closed files. The files associated with a VM are kept open and therefore wouldn't be replicated until stopped.

Re: Storage Replica: Scale-Out File Server (2 nodes, no shar

Is there a file-level replication option in Storaga Replica or is it possible to do block level replication when the source and destionation disks are not the same make/model? The main purpose for this is to cut costs by using cheaper disks in the destionation side.
