Cannot change SMTP port

Hello,

small, but annoying bug in admin console. Under Configuration - Event notifications is impossible to save different port value than default 25.
Console version 8.0.7145.

Thanks for update.

Re: Half speed on sync

Great! Network mask has been changed for all NICs, set mask to 24. I created a new LUN so full synchronization has started. I noticed that both pair of NICs started to communicate with each other. Speed is about 1Gbps on all NICs.

Thanks.

Re: Half speed on sync

Hello thefinkster,

thanks for hints, I will try split into separate subnets first. Network speed is not problem itself, it is running almost at 100% kapacity.

BTW, it is thick setup without L2 cache.

Re: Half speed on sync

Hello 707kevin,

all four NICs are in same subnet:

nic1 - 10.0.2.100
nic2 - 10.0.3.100
nic3 - 10.0.2.101
nic4 - 10.0.3.101

mask 255.255.254.0.

Half speed on sync

Hello, I found strange behavior during full sync of two Starwind nodes. I have (simplified) config of starwind cluster, see schema, using latest build v8. When full sync is running I have only one NIC active on receive server. Second "sync" NIC is ready, but performance monitor doesn't sho...

Re: Image File Non-Active

Hello Max, second test is still looking OK, no problems with nodes restart. I changed some configuration based on hints: I created cluster with wizard instead of manual creation, L1 cache size has been set manually by direct edit of .swdsk files I used thick disk instead of thin So it seams OK now. ...

Re: Image File Non-Active

Hi Anatoly, thanks for tip and guide for future, I'll send logs and schema on next test as you wrote. But a few more notes about this case: first of all: device reconnection was impossible in any way, I tried both methods from Q&A you recommended, but I always failed. I had to completely remove ...

Re: Image File Non-Active

Hello, I tried to simulate clean planned shutdown of one Starwind node in 2-node cluster. After node SW2 has restarted and starwind service started up again I see HA image file is in Non-active state. Replication is broken and interfaces are missing. See screenshot. My config: Starwind v8 (build 714...

Re: Physical disk full

Hello, same error happened today - 3,5TB physical disk shown out of disk space error on my 2-node Starwind cluster, version 7145, running on Windows 2012 R2, fully patched. I prepared new one LSFS disk at Friday, no data copied into, no load here and there was 3,5TB of "something" at Monda...

Re: HA storage with L2 cache and Invalid partner info error

Wow! I found way how to create HA :) I had to type any (non-existing) file name in Partner device setup dialog. Then I was able to proceed to next step, choose prepared unassigned device and succesfully complete wizard. Ufff. I suppose it is bug, because it doesn't make sense... What do you think, S...

Re: HA storage with L2 cache and Invalid partner info error

Thanks for tips, but unfortunatelly I still cannot complete Add replica wizard. Still same problem, I can't pass Partner device setup step at all :( It's paradox that wizard says "Specified file already exists" although I choosed Select existing device in previous step. For this configurat...

Re: HA storage with L2 cache and Invalid partner info error

Hello thefinkster,

thanks for guide. I tried it but finshed on selection existing partner header file. It said (really non-sense from my point of view) message that file already exists. See picture.

BTW, are you really have build 7185? Or typo error?

HA storage with L2 cache and Invalid partner info error

Hello, I have troubles to create HA storage on 2-node Starwind cluster. I read technical paper at http://www.starwindsoftware.com/styles-v2/pdf/technical_papers/StarWind_Virtual_SAN_Compute_and_Storage_Separated_2-Node_Cluster_iSCSI_VMware_vSphere.pdf. I followed doc exactly step-by-step, but I neve...

Re: Killer offer for VMware users, who understand?

Hmm, interesting... but my Starwind 2-node cluster has these parameters: license type: free edition multinode device capacity: 128 GB version: 8.0 build 7145 When I go to Cluster - Devices and try to create for example 500 GB HA device, I get error: "Storage creation failed. Failed: operation c...
