Windows Server 10 Storage Replica

Hello, I read about the new Hyper-V Feature in Windows Server 10 named Storage Replica --> "Hardware agnostic, with no requirement to immediately abandon legacy storage such as SANs." http://clusteringformeremortals.com/2014/10/04/windows-server-10-storage-replica-configuration-and-first-i...

How I calculate my disk space?

Hi I create a TEST HA Disk with 1GB Space. I activate the In-Line deduplication and dont use this target in this moment. Now I seee in my directory 162 SPSPX-files with 528.384 KB each file! These are over 80 GB for one empty 1 GB target. Is that right or an issue? How must i calculate my space when...

Re: HA with CSV, iSCSI and Live Migration networks

Thanks. I dont need big IOs for my ~25 VMs, but I want to plan a good platform without bottleneck. I read in ths moment a article about the redirected mode...now I understand and I dont need this mode because I have a native hyper-v cluster with starwind. If the storage broken down on both nodes, re...

Re: HA with CSV, iSCSI and Live Migration networks

In my case "Own Subnet" = private dedicated network (VLAN) Now I read this for the CSV-LAN: Idle until redirected I/O kicks in. In which case High Bandwidth and low latency required, But I have only 2x 1 GBit/s in my sizing. What is the best way with my three X540-T2 and one I350-T4 lan ad...

Re: HA with CSV, iSCSI and Live Migration networks

Thanks for the information. Another question:

When I use Teaming of my NICs for the VM and Management LAN, then I must disable tcp chimney.
In another sticky topic it was enabled. I think it is no problem to disable this feature only on this adapter, right?

Best regards
