While the main idea of hyperconvergence is using the minimum amount of hardware to tackle the same task by unifying compute and storage resources, scaling this kind of setup is quite complicated. StarWind HyperConverged Appliance with AlcoudA is the hyper-converged platform, which can scale storage just as needed without any excessive costs. AcloudA is a device, which attaches to any existing appliance into SATA or SAS HDD slot and works as a cloud gateway, utilizing standard iSCSI and SMB3 protocols. It creates a link to cloud and stores all the incoming cold data there.
