Tajco Group A/S is a market leader in developing and manufacturing premium exhaust trims for the global automotive industry, supplying most of the major vehicle manufacturers such as BMW, Daimler, GM, Chrysler, Volvo, Audi and VW. Originated in Denmark, Tajco is a global company with production in China and Slovakia and sales offices and warehouses worldwide.
PROBLEM
The company’s IT infrastructure prior to deploying StarWind consisted of standalone Hyper-V servers with Nexenta iSCSI storage box attached. The company faced a problem as the solution was at the end of its life cycle and Tajco needed to expand it by adding additional disks, RAM and CPU to satisfy the requirements for company’s new ERP system. Another issue was that high availability option was not available in the solution and the company needed to run its production system 24/7.
SOLUTION
The company has compared StorMagic SvSAN, DataCore HC Virtual SAN, Dell servers and storage solution but decided to choose StarWind as a very simple solution providing flexible scaling options: scale-up and scale-out. To build a 3-node Hyper-V fault-tolerant cluster, Tajco has purchased three StarWind HyperConverged Appliances, without the need for any additional hardware.
StarWind HyperConverged Appliance completely resolved all company’s existing problems and issues, and the migration with the cooperation of StarWind engineer was smooth and without any downtimes.
Tajco is now investigating the possibility to incorporate StarWind Storage Appliance and StarWind Cloud VTL into its IT infrastructure.
