The system cannot find the device specified

Postby jeroen » Fri Jul 16, 2010 12:38 pm

Dear comrades,

We have configured a 200 GB image file on server 1 using StarWind Free.
StarWind is also installed on server 1.

When connecting with the iscsi service on server 2, we can find the image file.
When allocated and formatted, a tiny disk appears in "my computer", accompanied by
a question mark. If we want to access the drive, the error message
"The system cannot find the device specified" comes up.

Tried with both primary partition settings and simple dynamic.
We do not know how to proceed.

Kindly advice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Warm Regards,

R. and J. IT-crew

Hello, can you please send us the logfiles from both StarWind service to support@starwindsoftware.com . The problem seems to be a little unclear so it is better to dig into the logs for a better view.
