Tape drive recognized in 2008 R2 VM

How would I use Starwind to get a tape drive directly attached to a 2008 R2 host recognized by a 2000 R2 VM running on that host?

In a nutshell: configure StarWind running in on your host machine to export your tape as RAW device and use any iSCSI initiator inside your VM to connect to StarWind exporting your tape. There's a manual on this so please give search a chance.
