Starwind VTL and DB2 archiving

we are testing Starwind 4 VTL in order to archive logfiles from DB2. This database uses a program ( db2tapemgr ) in order to archive.
The VTL seems to be recognized, since it rewinds, detects empty tape header, but on writing it aborts with reason 1: incorrect function.

Has anybody tried VTL with DB2 archiving? Would appreciate any ideas!

We have not officially tested this application yet and cannot provide any guideline at this point.

We will however do our best to have it tested soon.

Meanwhile you can send us a request to support@starwindsoftware.com so that we could dig deeper into it. Please also send the log files of StarWind.

Perhaps someone from the community has already faced with this application...?
