Resize image file automatically or manually

Postby sirvodka » Thu Sep 15, 2011 10:13 pm

Starwind Free edition 5.7.1733

Is it possible to resize the target image files manually or set them to automatically expand when needed in the free version?
Any version?

Thank you.

You can extend your Basic Image target. For this you need to right-click on the device and you will see corresponding option.

I recently bought the 2TB HA Starwind version 5.7.1721 and I need to expand an excisting target but can't find the right-click options you mentioned in the reply.

Is there a way to expand the HA Device?

Hello Gert,
You can not expand the HA device now, however this will be possible with next major release.

PS: version 5.7 1727 is outdated, I recommend you to update to 5.7 1733 as soon as you get a chance.

Hi max,

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm curious when we can expect that major release?

If I right click on any target my only options are:

Remove Target
Force Remove Target
Add Target
Refresh

I am not using HA. Do I also need to wait for the next release?

Thanks.

Is there a way we can be notified of these? I get updates for 5.5, to 5.6, to 5.7, but not the smaller ones. Also assuming getting the latest is the same way?

Just checked and noticed I am on 5.7.1721

And if you select the device (lower right field) you will see "extend size" when you RC over it.
