Problem with XenServer 5.6 and StarWind 5.4.1608

Postby muenther » Thu Oct 28, 2010 1:46 pm

Hi everybody.

I am testing the current version of StarWind with XenServer 5.6 for HA.
I have two XenServer 5.6 and two StarWind Server.
Everything's going great.

For testing, I have delete one target and try to resolve this problem.
Till now I've made the following:
1. Disconnect all the targets from the clients
2. Remove all the HA targets
3. Recreate the HA targets
4. Synchronize
5. Connect the XenServers to each StarWind Server.

The storage is in sync, but of course I cant work with the shared storage in XenPool now.
Because I have to solve the multipathing problem.
But how?

Unplug the pbd works, but if i try to replug the pbd than this error appears.

Error code: SR_BACKEND_FAILURE_47
Error parameters: , The SR is not available [opterr=no such volume group: VG_XenStorage-affacf06-c200-424a-7917-8bce329499f9]

Please help me!

Sorry for the bad englisch. I hope you understand me.

Hi, have you removed both targets from Xen's iSCSI initiator's list, you should also remove the datastore from XenServer's console, you will be able to add it without formatting after reconnecting the targets.

Hi Max.
The problem was sitting about 90 cm from the screen.
I synced the wrong way! :D
So it was a new target, which could not be reattached
But thx for your help
I'm really convinced of StarWind and will buy it on monday.
