Event notifications

Postby robnicholson » Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:12 pm

Often, when I open the console and connect to our server it says "There are NN new event notifications" but when I look at the events tab, it's always empty. In fact, this events tab has never shown anything!

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Rob.

Rob, please send us StarWind log, we will check it for event database errors.
Also check that you are using last version (5.7 has been updated two weeks ago and it contains a couple of small fixes for this feature).
Best regards,
Alexey.

Hi Alex - we're using v5.7.1733 and I asked in another thread what was fixed in it and where the release notes where so I could check if anything looked important.

I'll schedule some downtime at a weekend to get StarWind upgraded but it won't be for a few weeks.

Cheers, Rob.

Rob,
you can also try to delete old event database in \NotifyDB subfolder of the service before upgrading. Just to make sure that issue is not with corrupted event database.
Best regards,
Alexey.
