Add Device: only 2 options not Grayed out

Postby gnollo » Fri Jan 02, 2009 10:23 am

Good morning, as a newbie I am not too familiar with Starwind, but I thought I had it worked out.
I installed Starwind on a PC running Vista Ultimate (service Pack 1), with a BluRay drive so I could play the Bluray Discs I own on a different PC in the house using Starwind/Starport.
I got it to work last week, but all of a sudden, all options are grayed out under the Device Type Selection window in Starwind.
The options available are the first two:
- Image file device
- Ram drive device
I am connected to localhost:3260.
My drive is a LG h20l.
I loaded the drive with a bluray disc.
I am running the latest version of ANYDVD HD.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Your full-functional trial had expired and you've got only basic functionality working now.

I see. So the Starwind Free personal key does not provide with access to more than the first two functions?
I used the personal Unlock key, but nothing changes, still only two functions available.
I see that it costs 399$ to buy the license, it will be cheaper for me to buy another bluray drive and put it in my PC upstairs.
Great software but too expensive for a HTPC user I think.

Exactly! That's why we'll represent different licensing policy in V4 of the StarWind we'll release VERY soon.
