Can this type of network team be used to effectively double the bandwidth of my iSCSI connections?

Patrick,

StarWind proved to work on different link aggregation configurations, however, StarWind itself does not initiate, manages or implements any network configuration. It works over an existing network infrastructure that is set up between your LAN PCs.

In other words, if the link aggregation works fine on Windows level - it will work fine with iSCSI as well.
