Hello !

I heard , that StarPort will support ATA over Ethernet Protocol in the future.

I didn`t find anything about this.

Is this true ?

Yes, it does already support ATA-over-Ethernet. Please drop us a message to info@rocketdivision.com so we'll provide you with evaluation version of AoE-enabled driver.

Thanks!

Is the AoE driver something that can be downloaded (purchased?) independant of the SDK? We've been using Coraid AoE products with our Linux servers for quite a while and saw the announcement that you have a Windows AoE driver. However, the bit of poking around I did on the RocketDivision download site indicated that the AoE driver was only available bundled with the SDK.

Thanks,

Hi,

Your information about bundling the StarPort AoE with an SDK is not true.
StarPort AoE is a separate product - the next version of our current StarPort Storage Controller package.
The product is going to be released in March.

You could try the preview version available on request. Just drop an email to my address to evaluate it.
Best regards,
Valery
