Rebooting Windows 2003 R2 Server doesn't auto mount volume

Postby rocketer » Tue Dec 02, 2008 10:47 pm

Created a volume on a Coraid on a separate NIC (Starport NDIS driver only enabled). I can manually create and mount (r/w) a volume on the Coraid. Option set to auto mount the volume but after rebooting, the volume is nowhere to be seen unless I manually mount it again.

Any suggestions?

Known issue. Should be fixed in upcoming minor release.

Rebooting Windows 2003 R2 Server doesn't auto mount volume

Postby tmonn » Thu Dec 11, 2008 12:14 pm

I am having the same issue. Windows 2003 Server Standard R2 (32-bit), StarPort 3.6.2 Build 0x20081010, Driver Version 0x00030001 Build 0x20081010.

Anton, I noted your statement last week that this should be corrected in an upcoming minor release, and I was wondering how soon that fix is to come out? Having attached volumes disappear after a Windows reboot seems to be a pretty major issue for a file server environment.

Until the fix comes out, do you have a suggested work-around? Maybe a start-up script or batch job?

Thanks in advance!
