I am using StarPort on windows 2003 SP1 to connect to a SONY AIT Drive on a windows 2003 SP1 using StarWin.

NTBACKUP fails with the following message : Error: an inconsistency was encountered on the requested media"

The Windows 2003 server is able to read the tape ....

Hi Pascal,

There is a known issue with tape drives in recent StarPort versions. We are working on it.

Please try to use the MS iSCSI initiator to connect to your tape drives. This configuration is known to work well.
